The HW accelerated 3D drivers are what you'd expect from binary drivers. They mostly-sort-of work. The biggest problem I've seen is they fall over in a stiff breeze. For example, Stellarium would run at a buttery smooth 60 FPS for a few minutes and then everything would die. (No overheating though.) Capping the frame rate to 15 FPS has made it stable enough for a good star-viewing session. I expect you will run into similar problems on a per-application basis. |
